The Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro will not be long in arriving in Europe : according to the latest rumors, the Chinese company would be ready to release them on the market as early as the end of autumn. The new mid-range smartphones have been making headlines in recent days, while new technical details continue to emerge that appeal to Xiaomi fans.
Already at the beginning of August it had been talked about, following the revelation of the technical data sheet that had struck everyone. Several sources close to the company suggest that the smartphones are in the final stages of testing before going to market in Asia and Europe.
Xiaomi 12T and Pro: technical sheet
Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro arrive to enrich the 12 Series of smartphones released in December 2021 (12, 12X and 12 Pro) and those released in July (12S, 12S Pro and 12S Ultra). The new 12T, according to the leaker Mukul Sharma, would be in the test phase for both Europe and Asia, and their sale should therefore be simultaneous for both continents. Unlike the 12S, which are exclusive to the Chinese market, the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro should reach the European market.
The Xiaomiui site, always updated on the company's latest leaks, reported the specifications of the new smartphones. The smartphones will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra processor , an octa-core with 5 nanometer technology. Four of the eight cores are Cortex-A78 with 2850 MHz frequency, while the rest are Cortex-A55 with 2000 MHz frequency. The processor is one of the best currently in use, especially in gaming performance.
The display will be OLED, will have a resolution of 1220x2712px and will support the FOD- fingerprint on display instead of the physical sensor for unlocking the device. The resolution will go from 1080p of previous generations to 5K. The Xiaomi 12 and 12T Pro are designed to provide the best gaming experience so far.
There are still no details on the features that differentiate the two models, but both the basic and the Pro versions will not disappoint the expectations of the company's fans. The performance of the two smartphones will match even the most demanding users.
The photographic sector
As for the photographic sector , the two smartphones will mount three cameras to take ever sharper photos, even in low light conditions. The main camera will be 108 MP with Samsung ISOCELL HM6 lens; followed by an 8 MP Samsung S5K4H7 wide angle lens and a 2 MP macro sensor . The front camera instead will be a 20 MP Sony IMX596 lens, a model already seen in the Redmi K50 Pro.
After the disappointment of the 12S, 12S Pro and 12S Ultra, intended, at least for now, only for the Chinese market, Xiaomi could surprise European users with the new 12T and its Pro version. It is not yet clear what the technical differences will be between the two, but we can expect a larger screen size for the Pro version and some difference in memory. At the moment we are talking about 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM with an internal memory of 256GB , but we do not know if these features belong to the basic version or the Pro version.
But when will the two smartphones come out? Once again there are no definite news regarding the date of release on the market. Numerous rumors indicate the end of autumn-early winter as the most likely period for the arrival on the European and Asian markets , while others argue that smartphones could arrive even earlier, by the end of October. It must also be considered that Xiaomi will organize an event for the announcement of the two devices, formalizing the leaks that have been chasing each other for weeks on the web, and that it could even pass a month between the official announcement and the listing. It is therefore very likely that we will not see the two smartphones before mid-November.
Still no information, however, on the price. The range could start from 400 euros and go up to 800 for the Pro version , but there are no certain data about it. All that remains is to wait for Xiaomi for more precise news.
