The first pure electric AMG comes out, and the Mercedes EQ family welcomes five new members

With the continuous advancement of vehicle electrification, there have been rumors that Mercedes-Benz is preparing to launch a series of pure electric vehicles to enrich its own electric vehicle product line.

No, they are here.

The 2021 Munich Auto Show officially opens today, and the Mercedes EQ family finally ushered in a new member, bringing us a total of 5 pure electric models:

1. Mercedes-Benz EQE

The first is the all-electric executive-class sedan EQE.

The body size of the EQE is similar to that of the E-class, but thanks to the new electric platform, it has more cabin space.

In the cabin, a huge MBUX Hyperscreen spans the entire cabin. Its Berlin Voice surround sound system supports two soundscape modes: "Silver Wave" and "Vivid Wave". The third mode, "Roar Pulse" can be downloaded via OTA. .

In addition, the car is also equipped with AIRMATIC air suspension with ADS+ adaptive damping, rear wheel steering and other configurations. Mercedes will add more features to EQE through OTA updates.

2. Mercedes-Benz EQG

The legendary G-class will also be electrified, and the time left for large-displacement fuel engines seems to be really running out.

The newly released EQG concept car retains the classic round headlights, and there is a luminous Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star in the middle, surrounded by blue light animations.

The 22-inch polished aluminum alloy wheels it is equipped with don't seem to be suitable for off-roading, but it brings us some new highlights-the bump at the rear of the vehicle is not a spare tire, but a charging cable box.

Mercedes insisted on using an independent suspension on the front axle of the car, and equipped it with a separately controllable four-motor system and a 2-speed gearbox.

3. Mercedes-AMG EQS

The first pure electric AMG is finally here. AMG can make this special EQS burst out with 751 horsepower, accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers in only 3.4 seconds, and limit the top speed to 250km/h.

Like the standard EQS, it is built on the EVA2 platform, with two front and rear motors and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system.

In terms of braking performance, this EQS is also very "AMG". Mercedes is equipped with six-piston brake calipers for its front wheels, and an AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system is optional.

In addition, AMG EQS supports DC fast charging up to 200kW, and can pre-process the battery pack according to the route set by the driver, allowing the vehicle to enter the charging state faster.

4. Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV

Unlike the AMG EQS above, this is a large luxury SUV.

It uses a two-tone body design favored by luxury car manufacturers, with a large amount of chrome surrounding the body. The slender headlights don't seem to be interesting, but when you get closer, you will find countless Maybach logos hidden in them.

Entering the car, you can perceive the luxury of the interior at a glance, and the MBUX Hyperscreen also appears on this luxury car.

Of course, Maybach's focus has always been on the rear row, with a lot of configurations such as dual independent seats, refrigerator, audio-visual system, and wine glass holder.

But in fact, the configuration is secondary, what is luxury? That is the understanding of design.

Officials said that this Maybach EQS SUV will be officially put into production next year, equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, and the WLTP cruising range is expected to be around 600km.

5. Mercedes-Benz EQT

The car is positioned as a pure electric household MPV and is a product jointly developed by Mercedes and the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance.

Like other EQ series models, the appearance of the new car looks very technological. The headlights on both sides of the front face are integrated with the grille, and together with the silver front lip, the visual width of the front is increased.

EQT is equipped with double-sided electric side sliding doors and adopts a 7-seater space layout. It is worth mentioning that the third-row seats of the car can be completely removed, and the loading capacity of the car can be increased when needed.

In terms of power, the new car may be equipped with a 101-horsepower front electric motor, equipped with a 45kWh battery pack, and the WLTP battery life is expected to be about 265 kilometers.

It is reported that in the future, Mercedes-Benz MPV will be divided into two models, one is the Citan model for commercial use, and the other is the T-Class for home use.
