The digitalization of the world goes online, but what has it changed for us?

When life is close to the end and uploading the memories of life and self-consciousness digitally to the cloud, this person can continue to connect with relatives and friends in the real world in the virtual world, and "live" in reality in digital form. This is the story of human beings being able to live forever online in 2033 in the American drama "Uploading New Life", which seems to be the ultimate portrayal of the continuation of reality in the virtual world.

Bringing back to reality, today's digitization cannot replicate human beings, but the tools in human hands are already being digitized one by one. This explanation is a bit mysterious? Take one or two events that happened in the past two years:
Just two years ago, the process for us to take the high-speed rail was booking tickets, queuing for tickets, security checks, ticket inspections, and then getting on the train. Around the Spring Festival of 2020, a wide range of electronic tickets nationwide will replace paper tickets. After that, as passengers, we saved the process of queuing for tickets, which tested patience and caused delays. As the manager, the railway bureau can further real-name management.

Digitization, simplification of processes and management do both.

The same is 2020. Before the emergence of the new crown epidemic, most corporate meetings and school teaching were held in a certain venue where many people were present offline. This involves a lot of invisible efficiency consumption procedures such as checking time, making reservations, and process approval. Affected by the epidemic, online conferences/courses that are rapidly becoming popular have faster time, unlimited venues, and simpler processes.
Online, optimize space and efficiency, get twice the result with half the effort.

There are also DingTalk, which made students protest, and online education, which is hot for a while, are all digital products of the acceleration of the epidemic. Perhaps the epidemic has magnified the efficiency of the virtual world. In April this year, Tencent also brought a new digital tool "electronic signature", which digitized our daily transaction receipts/contract documents and made the act of signing contracts online.

Before: One paper contract, after: One-click forwarding

After entering the electronic signature, the user has to do three things: to complete the real-name authentication for the first time, you can choose two methods of face/ID identification to ensure that the electronic signature is true and effective in terms of legal effect.
At the same time as the fitting begins, the rental contract is selected in the electronic signature applet, and the relevant framework, legal terms and established constraints have been integrated in the file. You only need to fill in the specific information/rental/lease period of the house, and frame the selection of auxiliary facilities (ie appliances, furniture, etc.) of the house provided in the mini program, and the contract will be automatically generated.
This eliminates the need to consider the terms of the agreement, and saves the troublesome process of finding a template and downloading it again.

▲In Tencent electronic signing, users can initiate a rental contract

One last thing, click to forward the e-contract, the tenant completes the signature after the real-name verification, and the landlord only waits for the rent to be in the bag. If a dispute arises, the certificate can be issued by taking out the file from the mini program.
From an experiencer’s point of view, Tencent’s electronic signature is not a complete product. After all, the contract currently supported for signing is only for house leasing, but what makes me happy is that even if it’s just a streamlined small program, But the operating experience is close.
Whether it is a self-made contract or a contract, the steps for operating the electronic signature are simplified, and the options are visible.

▲Options automatically provided for the landlord

I gave it to a 50+ mother to experience it, and it took 10 minutes to draw up a contract at a time without guidance and forwarded it to me on WeChat. And this seems to coincide with the needs of the average age 50+, and the renters in Guangdong who are in the same place as Tencent?
Imagine that the renters in Liede and Xiancun, Guangzhou, today rent out a house on the 13th floor of Building A and need to print a rental contract, and sign a contract for the 20th floor of Building B tomorrow, and re-check the agreement and reprint it, the day after tomorrow. Back and forth… Obviously I should lie flat in my life, but the rental contract made it difficult for me to live. It's better to open the electronic signature on WeChat and check to fill in the blanks. A stack of paper rental contracts can be drawn up quickly, and management only needs to be swiped, clicked, and forwarded in the mini program.

▲The homeowner can forward the electronic contract to WeChat

It should be noted that this is still different from the electronic agreement signing method that most of my offices are already doing.
Take the example of Uncle Xuewen, who has frequent contact with contract documents in the editorial department of Aifaner. Aifaner often needs to sign a cooperation agreement because of the evaluation cooperation of newly listed hardware. Although the ancient way of sending paper in paper two years ago has now been replaced by electronic document signing, there are still problems: local files are not easy to save, the computer is broken = the contract is lost = the salary is gone; the document retrieval is not easy , The probability of finding Yui Aragaki> the probability of finding a certain contract; drafting new contract regulations is the most difficult, uncle learner is not a law student, and legal teachers are also very busy.
The electronic signature in this one solves the above problems. For cloud storage, a broken computer has nothing to do with the contract; the search is fast, and there are no other interference items in the cloud folder dedicated to the contract; the contract is proposed, and the framework of relevant regulations has been provided in advance, so you don’t need to spend your brain learning legal terms.
In addition to the contract, Tencent's electronic signature also has a function that uses a higher frequency in transaction scenarios: electronic receipts.
Or click directly from the WeChat applet, the payer and the receiver create a receipt after real-name authentication, fill in the amount and time information, and upload a screenshot of the transaction. After completion, WeChat is forwarded to the other party, and after the real-name authentication and signature, the ticket is confirmed as a legally valid certificate.

Digitalization, social efficiency and legal effect coexist

When talking about the "legal effect", the person in charge of Tencent Electronics signed clearly: "The front-end of small contracts and small receipts is based on the WeChat platform, and users can open them and share them easily with counterparties; the back-end is based on Tencent. The relevant capabilities of electronic signatures ensure legal compliance."
The legal logic behind the electronic contract/receipt mainly has two: 1. The identity authentication of the electronic signature; 2. The blockchain certificate: it cannot be tampered with and has a timestamp.
The first point is easy to understand, which is the "real-name authentication" mentioned repeatedly in the experience session. Whether it is the issuing party or the signatory, the real-name authentication of the platform must be completed before the electronic signature is finalized to ensure the reliability and validity of the electronic signature, which is also in line with the national regulations on electronic signatures promulgated in 2005.
Article 14 of the "Electronic Signature Law" clarifies:
"A reliable electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature or stamp."
Article 13 also stipulates the conditions that a reliable electronic signature should meet:
"1. When the electronic signature production data is used for an electronic signature, it belongs to the electronic signer's exclusive; 2. The electronic signature production data is only controlled by the electronic signer when signing; 3. Any changes to the electronic signature after signing can be found; 4 . Any changes to the content and format of the data message after signing can be discovered.”
The second point is the technical guarantee for the legal effect of electronic credentials.
Tencent Electronics signed the cooperation with Zhixin Chain, and the bottom layer is the "Changan Chain" that is domestically produced, open source, and independently controllable. Through blockchain technology, the generated data is based on time stamps to leave traceable traces, even if a single institution fails, it will not affect the authenticity of the generated data. Therefore, once the contract generates data, there is no fear of malicious tampering or deletion by one party.

▲Using an electronic signature, the user can complete the signature in the text box

By the way, many users still feel that "chat records" and "transfer screenshots" can also be used as legal evidence. In actual court cases, the screenshot itself is not the original evidence, but a document that is vulnerable to tampering. More evidence recognized in court is the carrier of the record, that is, the original data records of mobile phones and computers for verification.
But the problem is that in early 2018, WeChat’s official platform WeChat Pie issued a statement that, considering users’ privacy issues, WeChat will not keep any user’s chat records, and chat content is only stored on users’ mobile phones, computers and other terminal devices. In other words, you can testify, but only if you keep all the original records.
Today, when 512G is not enough, no one can guarantee that every transaction-related Internet track will be kept in every detail. Even if it is preserved, the legal level verification involves issues such as whether the meaning of the content is clear, and whether the screenshots of the transfer can prove the purpose, etc., to verify its authenticity.

Sharp tools today, good things in the future

After WeChat Pay used the "co-creation" method to open up the life scene of food, clothing, housing and transportation in 2019, WeChat has become an important platform for transactions in two years. However, Tencent's electronic signature is rooted in the WeChat platform, and there is still a lot of room for imagination in the future of the WeChat payment scene.
The current rental electronic contract can only be considered as a sample, and the next step must be to cover and supplement more scenes such as decoration, lending, and work. After all, digitizing these vouchers for life is only the first step, and the difficulty in the future is to make the scenes that people need more intelligent and reasonable.
For example, in the decoration process, when you are not clear about how to divide the responsibilities with the decoration team, the electronic signature can use AI to recommend relevant regulations, so that the person who intends to contract does not need to spend time and brain thinking about the regulations; and then extend it to the MCN contract that has been exposed in the past two years. In the dispute, if the rights defenders "Mr. Lin Chen" and "Brother Xiaoxiang" can have AI-assisted review regulations when signing a contract with MCN, the rights of both parties are regulated by automatic assistants, so there will naturally be less follow-up disputes.
In the more distant digital future, the greatest value of electronic signatures is not only to provide people with "good things" tools, but also to provide "sharp tools" solutions for the efficient operation of society.
