Snapdragon 8 is Qualcomm's first chip using the latest Arm v9 architecture.
The new Kryo CPU continues to use the "1+3+4" eight-core architecture, including a Cortex-X2 3.0GHz main core, three Cortex-A710 2.5GHz performance cores and four Cortex A510 1.8GHz cores.
