OPPO OHealth Home Smart Health Monitor H1: very technological, but also very warm

As the end of the year draws near, when I was talking to my dad about this year's harvest, there was a sentence that made me feel complicated.

This year, what saved the most was not bonuses, but a stack of medical records.

In the past few years, I have been lamenting that my father is getting old day by day, but when I read his medical records, I really realized that the old age is not because the wrinkles on his brows have become furrows, but it is a signal of geriatric disease eating back at the body. From this, persuading him to wear a smart watch and learn to check his body has become a compulsory course for my mother and me to babble on a daily basis.

But I know in my heart that the monitoring of smart watches can only be supplemented by reference. Secondly, with a character like his father's eloquence, the pain of learning smart devices is comparable to letting him quit smoking. So when I saw OPPO's new first home smart health concept product OHealth H1, I wanted to experiment with it.

On one device, it can complete the six data monitoring of body temperature, ECG, heart rate, blood oxygen, heart and lung sounds, and sleep. Is it more practical than ordinary home detectors? Compared with the smart watch my father resisted, what is the difference in its medical-grade precision monitoring? And will such a new concept product become his next learning pain?

Good-looking, warm-touch monitor

If you don't turn on the God's perspective, it's hard to connect it with the monitor.

White, round and smooth, these three words are my first impression of OHealth H1. With its white body and curved back, the monitor as a whole looks like a magic mouse, and a bit like soap.

OPPO is very good at adding details to the simple design, achieving double texture improvement in vision and touch. Also on the white shell of the OHealth H1 body, a layer of transparent acrylic-like material is added to increase the visual texture and more importantly, the feel.

With the smooth back and curved edges, the grip is very smooth. Sometimes I feel that I am holding a piece of Runyu in my hand.

In terms of volume, judging from the handheld in the above picture, OHealth H1 cannot be said to be small but compact.

The entire monitor is not as big as a palm, and it is equipped with an upper contact charging base. It does not need to be stored in the medicine box, but can be placed on the table. In addition, white is a color that is not easy to make mistakes in home matching, and it will not be an obtrusive existence when placed on the bedside or on the table.

At the bottom of the charging board, a slot for plugging in is reserved, which is very convenient to place on a flat surface.

There are very few buttons on the OHealth H1, and the white button on the side is the switch. After starting the monitor, an electronic screen on the front lights up randomly, and the screen will display the current measurement items, progress and some measurement results.

Leveraging the technical advantages accumulated by OPPO smart wear over the years, OHealth H1 also applies sensor monitoring and data management. The realization of the measurement results depends on a series of sensors directly above the screen.

For example, the ECG and PPG sensors on the top and the ECG electrodes on both sides are responsible for the measurement of ECG, heart rate, and blood oxygen. The temperature sensor and distance sensor in the middle are responsible for temperature measurement. There is also the largest center-of-circle electronic stethoscope, which is used to listen to heart sounds or lung sounds.

From the appearance point of view, OPPO's first home health monitor has made the instrument a new form. But because it is too new, it is best to study the usage guide before using it, otherwise it will be difficult to find out its correct usage at one time.

But when I actually used it, I found that the measurement method of the monitor is easy to remember, even simpler than traditional monitors. It can be measured directly with the body itself, or it can be used in conjunction with the OHealth app.

During body measurement, OHealth H1 will give voice prompts, telling me what to do next and how to measure correctly. When measuring on the mobile app, each function will also have an intuitive graphical method. Users with learning disabilities like my old father are suitable for self-measurement by following the app demonstration.

If it is used by multiple people in the family, it is best to measure with the OHealth app. After the family members are registered in the app, they can record the measurement data of each person.

Most of the monitors in the past have a single function. If you want to measure body temperature, you take out a thermometer, if you want to measure blood oxygen, you use an oximeter, and if you want to listen to heart and lung sounds… I think most people, like me, don’t know how to listen to heart sounds. Even if I hear it, I don't know how to use it.

This is the significance of OPPO Health bringing OHealth H1.

Highly integrated monitor functions commonly used in multiple families, whether it is the health management of family members or the most basic item storage, will have the effect of 1+1>2, and at the same time linked with mobile applications, it means monitoring Although the user cannot understand the health data, they can connect to the medical terminal that can understand it and give health advice.

Easy to test, easy to get started and one step faster

When I got it, I tried the body temperature function first. It works on the same principle as a non-contact infrared thermometer. Hover for a few seconds about 2cm from the forehead to get the measurement data.

Because of the recent special circumstances, I measured them one by one for my colleagues in the editorial department on the day of the experience. At this time, non-contact measurement shows its advantages, and the possibility of cross-infection is reduced as much as possible without direct contact with the skin.

Sometimes the distance cannot be estimated accurately, and the monitor is too far away from the forehead. OHealth H1 will give a voice reminder that the measurement failed, and let me adjust the distance and try again. Until it is successfully measured, the result will be displayed on the display.

When measuring ECG, heart rate and blood oxygen, hold the electrode pads on both sides of the monitor with one hand, and fill the ECG and PPG sensors on the top with the thumb of the other hand.

Although these data can also be monitored on smart watches, the accuracy of the OHealth H1 monitor is different.

In the composition of the sensor, the ECG electrode sheet responsible for collecting the ECG signal on the OHealth H1 is larger, so when I measure, the coverage area of the hand and the electrode sheet is larger, and the ECG signal is clearer, which also means that in atrial fibrillation , The detection accuracy of ventricular fibrillation is higher.

The more intuitive result of better signal quality is that the heart rate prompt interval of OHealth H1 has more details.

Measurements with higher precision are also especially important for sick patients.

Take my old smoker father as an example. My father suffers from chronic bronchitis. Winter is a period of high incidence of respiratory diseases. The respiratory function of patients will decline. If the blood oxygen saturation is lower than 90%, it is likely to develop into Emphysema, so his mother would urge him to do frequent blood oxygen checks during the sensitive winter period.

The blood oxygen detection of the smart watch can only be used as a reference. In order to cope with the special period of winter, the family still bought an oximeter. Because the oximeter wraps the finger more tightly, the test data is more accurate.

The medical-grade precision of OHealth H1 can also cope with the father's condition, and the multi-function also saves the bloatedness of buying multiple devices. For all members of the family, only one device is enough.

Smokers like my father also have many problems with their lungs. Although there are no obvious symptoms yet, the thick sputum sound when he coughs is still worrying. Simply use the heart and lung sounds of OHealth H1 to auscultate, and try it together.

Cardiopulmonary sound auscultation needs to be used together with headphones and mobile phone applications. The app shows the body parts that the monitor needs to be attached to. In a relatively quiet environment, you can hear the sound of lung breathing when you wear headphones.

Although I have no medical judgment on auscultation sounds, I can hear the old father's breathing sound is quite heavy, while my breathing sound is lighter in comparison. OPPO will also cooperate with tertiary hospitals in the future. If you want to know if there is any disease, users can directly ask the doctors of the tertiary hospitals on the app side. The doctor will give corresponding health advice based on the auscultation records of the monitor.

However, OHealth H1 is still a concept product, and the connection with the medical terminal is still under construction, so I have not experienced paid consultations.

But I am still looking forward to the opening of this feature. After I fell ill in March this year, I chatted with my mother on WeChat and received a few screenshots of medical consultations. I realized that she would have the habit of seeking medical treatment online if she had a minor illness.

If parents want to seek medical treatment online, as a child, I am more assured that parents can use scientifically measured data to seek help from more reliable online channels. On the one hand, when seeking a doctor online, the doctor's judgment can be based on. On the other hand, reliable channels can also reduce the possibility of parents falling into online medical fraud.

The last sleep measurement feature is my favorite feature. Even after wearing a smartwatch for 5 years, I have always refused to wear it to sleep. The foreign body sensation on the wrist is the most important reason, and OHealth H1 is a non-disturbing sleep monitoring.

It's a pity that sleep detection is not available on the device I experienced, so I can only taste the entire detection process.

In addition to the data of the six vital health signs, blood pressure is also an extremely important data. Although the OHealth H1 body does not support measurement, the app can be connected to the Omron blood pressure monitor, and the measured data will be integrated in the app, which is convenient for continuous recording or intuitive presentation to physicians.

What OPPO wants to do is "preventive medical" health

Even though it is not a mass-produced monitor, based on OPPO’s accumulation of technology in wearable products over the past few years, OHealth H1 is a monitor with innovative shape, good-looking appearance, and a very friendly monitoring experience for home users. , very refreshing and worth looking forward to.

On INNO DAY 2022 when OHealth H1 was released, OPPO, which has entered the health industry, also established a health business brand OHealth for this purpose. In addition to continuing to improve the functions of the H1 monitor, it is also the next plan to cooperate with tertiary hospitals such as Nanfang Hospital to open up the medical terminal.

If it goes well, OHealth H1 will become a monitoring device with medical-grade precision equipment monitoring + professional data management + telemedicine.

In fact, judging from the environment in recent years, everyone has paid a lot of attention to their own health. For example, thermometers and oximeters have become standard equipment in many families' medicine boxes. After all, it is difficult to develop a healthy living habit, but starting from observing the changes in your body, the threshold is not high. These monitoring costs are not high, mainly because they can feed themselves a reassurance.

Like the editors and teachers in our office, many people are monitoring their health data with their smart watches. In their words:

It is better to have a chance to prevent it than to have to take it hard

The purpose of using a monitor is actually the same as we use a smart watch to detect body data: prevention first.

This is exactly what OPPO Health wants to do.

There may be users who need monitors, such as colleagues in the workplace, who need to pay attention to their bodies from time to time, and use the detection data to adjust their status in time to prevent diseases; there may also be middle-aged and elderly people like my father who already have diseases, who can always prevent them Lesions or aggravation; perhaps there are doubts about the physical condition, and want to seek medical advice online.

No matter which type it is, it is better to prevent it in advance or seek medical advice. As long as the product can manage health well, it is the value of technology.
