IO and cashback on tilt: “Pornhub can help you”
Another “flop” after that of the INPS portal : this time it's up to IO and the cashback operations, and users ask for help from Pornhub . The initiative, which offers a refund to those who sign up for the app, caused an assault on IOapp and the servers could not hold up.
The complaints of users, due to the inability to register credit cards and IBANs, resulted in a request for help from the famous site, which in April had offered to help Italy. IO immediately responded to the provocation, trying to play down the situation.
Cashback and the problems of IO: Pornhub ready to help
The new cashback plan has been very successful, so much so that the servers have not been able to keep up with the amount of users who wanted to activate the service. On December 2, IO's Twitter profile announced that “ In these days before starting the Cashback program you may notice an error or a prolonged loading in the Portfolio section of IOapp “.
The cashback, however, has been active since 7 December and it is not yet possible to use it . There are indeed problems in registering the payment methods, used to refund 10% of each purchase. A situation that has put many users in difficulty, who have not been able to configure their e-wallet.
The Public Administration finds itself having to deal with the problems of overcrowding of requests, as happened to INPS last April. The day scheduled to be able to request the 600 euros from the government saw the portal go offline. Not only that: there was a data breach, and the government later confirmed the presence of a hacker attack.
The sum of the two events sent the portal into a tailspin, and Pornhub promptly offered its help . The adult content site has made its servers available to INPS, opening up to consultancy on Twitter.
Given the availability of Pornhub, a user has seen fit to recommend the site's help to IO. The advice, which had not received an answer in April, this time led the official app account to respond ironically in tone.
A way to play down the embarrassing situation that has arisen in recent days and for which there is still no solution. No response has come from Pornhub for now. Will they have been offended by the INPS's failure to respond? Whatever the motivation, users are still waiting for IO to work to get cashback , Pornhub or not.
ME: how cashback works
The IO app was created to support pagoPA , the unified payment platform of the Public Administration. Downloaded 3 million times, it has been used to take advantage of the holidays and mobility bonus. The application aims to digitize and speed up the payment of taxes , duties and taxes such as fines and stamps. Not only that: the centralized management of citizens' charges also guarantees more precise management of deadlines, with notifications and updates.
Cashback is only the latest of IO's services, and provides a refund for purchases made privately on the national territory . The program was presented with a view to supporting the expenses in person, as opposed to those online (for which the reimbursement is not foreseen).
It begins with the experimental “Christmas Extra Cashback” period, which ends on December 31st and provides for a maximum refund of 150 euros for each period. The periods will each last 6 months and will end on 30 June 2022 . During this first month, a minimum of 10 transactions is required to obtain reimbursement, while for the following semesters the minimum will be 50.
To participate in the program is simple: simply register in the app with SPID or CIE and activate the cashback from the application. To be able to use it, you must be of legal age, resident in Italy and use only payment methods you own .
In order to receive the refund, just enter the data of the payment methods used for purchases and also the IBAN on which you want to receive the credit. The purchases considered valid are those made in physical stores and the services rendered by artisans and professionals. From the wallet section you will always be able to view the status of the refunds and the number of transactions made, but not the details of these.
