Echo Dot Alexa the fourth generation: Amazon devices renewed
The new fourth generation Echo Dot Alexa has been available for purchase on Amazon for a few days, but not only that, all the other Amazon Alexa devices have been renewed. Amazon has not limited itself to just the technological renewal of its devices. In fact, Amazon recently published the new Band and the announcement of cloud gaming .
The purchase is currently already available only for the new Fire TV Cube , while for the other devices we should wait until September 30 for the Fire TV. On October 22nd we will see the release of Echo Dot and Blink outdoor, on November 5th Echo Dot with clock and a date not yet available for Echo Dot with clock.
The new devices have been designed with plastic materials made from 50% recycled plastic . Furthermore, 100% of the fabric is post-consumer recycled and 100% of the aluminum used is recycled die-cast aluminum. 100% of the device packaging is made from wood fiber from sustainable forests and recyclable sources .
Regarding recyclable sources, Amazon is building new wind farms and photovoltaic plants to produce the amount of clean electricity needed by the devices. All of this is not enough, Echo Dot are also equipped with automatic power saving when the device is not in use. Unfortunately, power saving mode is currently only possible for some devices and some settings.
The new Echo Dot Alexa
Also in the fourth generation of Echo Dot Alexa there are several models: New classic Echo Dot , Echo Dot with bulb , New Echo dot with clock . Same design and functionality, the differences? In echo dot with bulb we find classic echo dot with the Philips bulb. Echo dot with clock, compared to the classic, has a LED in which to project the time, alarms and timers, postponing them by simply touching the top. The “New” model compared to the fourth generation model contains the smart home hub that supports Zeegbee sensors, locks, light bulbs, sockets and switches.
Echo Dot Alexa is Amazon's best-selling smart speaker . At first glance we can see an aesthetic change, passing from a flat disc shape to a sphere shape. The spherical design offers rich sound, crisp highs, dynamic mids and deep bass. Echo Dot is in fact equipped with a woofer directed upwards (speaker for low frequencies) and two tweeters directed to the left and right (speakers for high frequencies). The speakers thus prepared provide a propagation of sound in a 3D sphere . Using WiFi you can connect all the Echo Dots to play the same music in all the rooms, call other devices with the Drop In function. You can control all the devices in the house with your voice and Echo Dot, both Zeegbee ones with the appropriate dot and other brands.
As always, Amazon takes privacy into account : using a special button you can disable the microphones. A new feature allows you to manage your recordings by listening to or deleting them at any time. In the same area we find the buttons to increase and decrease the volume and the classic action button. In the back remained the light ring, the power port and the 3.5mm audio input / output.

New Echo Show Alexa

Alexa's voice recordings are in fact encrypted before being sent to the cloud so that it is more difficult to know your requests made to Alexa. Want to know why Alexa responded a certain way? Ask her what she heard and cancel the recording if you think she is sensitive. Alexa isn't always listening but is always ready to help you when you say her name. For third-party skills, Amazon shares the registration with the company that designed the skill, but no sharing unless authorized by the user. Would you rather have no doubts? Turn off the microphone and speak quietly but Alexa will not respond when you call her until you turn the microphone back on.
