Zhiji held "New World Intelligent Origin Conference"
On the evening of June 14, Zhiji Automobile, a subsidiary of SAIC Group, held the New World Intelligent Origin Conference.
The focus of this conference is on intelligent driving. Zhiji said that its IM AD intelligent driving system supports the exchange of user data rights to upgrade the lidar fusion intelligent driving system, which includes high-precision lidar and high-power Orin chips.
At present, Zhiji L7 can deal with the high-level capabilities of complex road conditions such as "vehicle jamming on congested roads", "dodge of large vehicles with special-shaped vehicles", and "large curvature curves" only by virtue of the visual fusion solution, bringing users "more like people" intelligent driving experience.
In addition, Zhiji Auto and Alibaba Cloud have jointly built the "Data Super Factory on the Cloud", Alibaba Cloud's efficient cloud storage solution, which provides IM AD data collection, labeling, uploading, computing, and AI training. Technical Support.
In a few days, Zhiji L7 will be delivered. I wonder if it can reflect the "New World Automotive Intelligence Five Standards" in Zhiji's eyes?
Rivian delays delivery of electric SUV R1S again
American electric car maker Rivian has again delayed their deliveries. According to InsideEVs, some customers who pre-ordered Rivian's first SUV model, the R1S, received an email in which the company said deliveries of the R1S would be delayed by several months.
According to reports, a customer posted on Rivian's forum that the delivery window has been updated to August-September 2022, and may be October-December 2022 at the latest.
Rivian launched the 7-seat SUV as early as November 2018, with a starting price of $72,500 (about 485,000 yuan).
In the email, Rivian attributed the delay to ongoing supply chain issues.
In a global shortage of parts, suppliers tend to prioritize larger, more established companies.

Jeep to stop selling gasoline-only models in Europe
According to Autoweek, Jeep plans to stop selling gasoline-only models in most major European markets by the end of this year and offer only hybrid vehicles, and its parent company Stellantis hopes to sell only pure electric vehicles in Europe by 2030.
Progress in electrification in the U.S. is still relatively slow, but Jeep CEO Christian Meunier believes that Jeep's 4xe technology is paving the way for pure electric vehicles to be launched in 2023, at a time when the number of electric vehicles in the U.S. market is growing rapidly. Momentum is also emerging.
Jeep's all-electric vehicles in the U.S. don't look good in 2022, but as the U.S. charging network expands, the goal of pure-electric vehicles will become even stronger, said Jessica Caldwell, executive director of analytics at Edmunds. easy to accomplish.
When it comes to electric vehicles, Caldwell said, Jeep will continue to live up to its "go anywhere" mantra. She thinks it's possible for Jeep to offer different levels of range depending on the model's purpose. For people who spend most of their time in urban environments, their need for range is not as high as for off-road enthusiasts.
"Feelings" is a powerful sales tool for Jeep, but it also makes Jeep constrained.
Huawei Smart Car and Chery, JAC finalize cooperation
Huawei's "Smart Car" business is currently being rolled out on a large scale. In addition to Jinkang New Energy, Huawei has recently finalized cooperation with Chery Automobile, Jianghuai Automobile and Jihu Automobile.
Among them, Huawei and Chery Automobile have at least two models of cooperation, and Jianghuai Automobile also has at least one model of cooperation. In the cooperation with Jihu Auto, in addition to the Huawei Inside program, there will also be a smart car cooperation.
In the smart car business, Huawei will be deeply involved in the product definition of smart car, the selection of core components, the sales and service system, and even battery charging and replacement services. At the same time, the smart car will be sold in Huawei stores.
At present, the AITO Asker M5 jointly launched by Huawei and Jinkang has begun to be delivered, and the cumulative delivery volume has reached 11,296 units. Its pure electric version of the Asker M5e is expected to be launched in September.
Compared with HI, Huawei prefers the mode of smart car selection, and Yu Chengdong does not like car companies with too many "own ideas".
Ford announces recall of nearly 49,000 Mustang Mach-Es
According to Bloomberg, Ford has recalled 48,924 Mustang Mach-Es sold in the U.S. due to battery safety concerns.
According to the recall notice, the fault involved a potential overheating of the battery's high-voltage contactor, which could cause the vehicle to fail to start or lose power while in motion.
The affected vehicles include 2021 and 2022 models built at the Cuautitlan plant in Mexico between May 27, 2020 and May 24, 2022, Ford said.
Ford said the problem could be fixed via OTA, which will be released next month.
As of the end of May, Ford was the manufacturer with the most vehicle recalls in the U.S. this year, according to NHTSA.
AITO car responds to mall fire
At noon on June 14, a fire broke out in a Huawei mobile phone store in Ordos, killing two people. The video shows that the Wenjie M5 placed in the store was burned to the point where only the frame was left.
According to a message posted by car blogger @常燕CY, AITO Auto responded to the incident this afternoon.
AITO Automobile stated that it has built a remote data monitoring and management system in accordance with the requirements of the National Testing and Management Center for New Energy Vehicles, which will report the basic data of the vehicle as soon as possible.
After analyzing the background data of the on-site vehicle, it can be preliminarily confirmed that the source of the fire did not come from the vehicle.
AITO Automobile said that at 22:50 on the evening of June 13, the Ordos Fire Rescue Detachment received a fire alarm in the shopping mall, and the vehicle was in a normal charging state until the end of charging at 22:55, and the charging current and temperature were not abnormal.
Of course, we still have to wait for the investigation results of the relevant departments.
The number of new energy vehicle fires increased by 32% in the first quarter
The Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China recently announced the data of new energy vehicle fires in the first quarter of 2022: a total of 640 fires, an increase of 32% over the same period last year, higher than the average increase in vehicle fires (8.8%), and an average of more than 7 fires per day.
At present, the main reasons for the fire of new energy vehicles can be classified into 5 points:
Including aging of battery components, external collision, high temperature weather, battery thermal runaway, high load, etc. Among them, the fire caused by the use of fire and electricity accounted for more than half.
Another major cause is fire caused by external collisions. Many car owners will inevitably be bumped on the chassis during driving, and the power batteries generally installed on the chassis of new energy vehicles are not easily detected after bumps.
However, the increase in the number of new energy vehicle fires is also related to the growing number of them. In fact, calculated from the number of possessions, the probability of fire of new energy vehicles is lower, at 0.0072%, and that of fuel vehicles is 0.015%.
Lime is testing new shared electric motorcycles in California
Shared electric motorcycle company Lime is testing their new electric motorcycle Citra in Long Beach, California.
The latest moped to join the company's fleet, the Citra features a large, padded seat and can reach speeds in excess of 30km/h. The company hopes that as gasoline prices soar, users can use the Citra for their short-distance travel needs.
The news comes after Lime quietly shut down its shared motorcycle programs in New York City and Washington, D.C., and Lime spokesman Russell Murphy said the company's fleet will be adjusted to demand, up to a maximum of 500. (The Verge)
500 cars, it seems that business is not very good.
Audi uses recycled batteries to build a "three jumper"
In order to develop a new car, in the process of testing, car companies will spend a lot of material and financial resources, which to some extent also results in a waste of resources, such as expensive power batteries.
In order to "make the best use of everything", Audi thought of a way.
Startup Nunam has teamed up with Audi's Neckarsulm plant to develop an electric tricycle using used batteries from an e-tron test vehicle, which will be piloted on the roads in India in early 2023.
Prodip Chatterjee, co-founder of Nunam, said: "Old batteries are still very powerful. If used properly, they can bring huge benefits, helping people who are struggling to earn income and gain financial independence."
Electric-powered tricycles are not uncommon on Indian roads these days, but they typically use lead-acid batteries, which have a relatively short lifespan and are often not disposed of properly.
Guangzhou pilot installation of capture equipment: strict grasp of electric bicycles
With the development of the delivery industry and changes in residents' travel needs, electric bicycles have become one of the most common means of transportation on the road in recent years.
At the same time, the hidden dangers of traffic safety on electric bicycles have become more and more obvious, and behaviors such as not wearing a helmet, running a red light, driving in the wrong direction and vehicle modification are everywhere.
On June 14, in response to the public's doubts about the standardization of electric bicycle driving, the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau officially responded to the implementation of solutions.
Since the second half of 2021, the Traffic Police Detachment of the Municipal Public Security Bureau and five companies have selected some key road sections in the city center to carry out pilot construction of electric bicycle capture equipment to capture and collect traffic irregularities.
It can be seen in the reply letter of the municipal public security that the main purpose of setting up this system is to manage courier and takeaway personnel. However, for delivery personnel, whether such a management method is reasonable remains to be verified by time.
