Lotus will be equipped with the first batch of streaming media exterior rearview mirrors in China
On January 4, Lotus officially announced that the Lotus ELETRE pure electric SUV will become the first batch of cars in China equipped with streaming media exterior mirrors.
According to Lotus, replacing traditional exterior mirrors with smart sensors can increase lateral visibility by 50 percent and further reduce wind resistance.
The streaming media exterior rearview mirror on the Lotus ELETRE uses an LCD screen with a resolution of 1280*720, which supports 15 levels of brightness adjustment. The camera part is made of water-repellent material, which can also heat and melt snow, and supports blind spot detection and door opening. Early warning, rear crossing assistance and other functions. The optional price of this configuration on the Lotus ELETRE is 16,000 yuan.
In terms of regulations, the "Performance and Installation Requirements for Motor Vehicle Indirect Vision Devices" will come into effect on July 1 this year, and the new regulations will no longer require vehicles to be equipped with traditional exterior rearview mirrors.
Lotus said that vehicles equipped with streaming media exterior rearview mirrors will be delivered on the date of implementation of the new regulations, and users who have locked orders can also add this configuration as needed.

Volkswagen's high-end pure electric vehicle ID.7 unveiled

Tesla's 2022 sales fell short of expectations, shares plunged 12.6%
Tesla released vehicle delivery data for the fourth quarter and full year of 2022 on Monday.
